Seriously, What Would Brian Boitano Do?

In honor of the Olympics, we bring you a song dedicated to one of the biggest names in men's figure skating…that is, if you even know who he is. Today's youth probably doesn't know about or remember the Nancy Kerrigan/Tanya Harding feud or ever seeing the Kerri Strug one-legged landing…simply because they weren't born yet. Hell when the grammys rolled around, they didn't even know who Paul McCartney was. Seriously sad times. What would Brian Boitano Do?

Just Keep Twirling, Lana.

When Lana Del Rey bursted on the scene, you probably thought one of two things: "OMG! She's Amazing!" or "WTF is Hollywood Sadcore?! You can't go around making up new genres!" That is, of course, until you saw her perform for the first time (the most infamous being her performance on SNL).

But that's not the only talent she lacks…she's not exactly the most skilled dancer out there. And by that we really mean she only has one move: The Twirl. Say what you will about her singing ability, but she's just gonna keep on twirling like she just don't care. And some lovely peeps who love to waste more time than we do, have put together a special Tumblr dedicated to it.

What better way to christen my inaugural UoL post than with the king of the internet, the cat photo. Recent fav is this fabulous creature; the very picture of comfort, elegance, and nonchalance. Proper majesty. I lay my chronicles at your squished in feet, Sire.

I'm sure we're all sick of hearing Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" but earlier this week Sesame Street released the Cookie Monster parody of this radio hit. Whether milk & cookies makes this song any better is a maybe.

 

Things I Didn't Know Existed: Gluten-free Rice Krispies

I just happened to be at Big Lots the other day when I tumbled upon these. I'm pretty sure I you were concerned about gluten, you wouldn't be eating Rice Krispies in the first place. I guess we all know why it's on clearance!
